SR 178 at Morning Drive Interchange
Project Description:
The proposed project would construct a new interchange at SR 178 and Morning Drive and widen SR 178 to four lanes for approximately 1.5 miles.
Project Status:
The SR 178/Morning Drive Interchange DED EIR/EA has been ciruculated. The comment period closed on October 15, 2010 and approval of the final environmental document is expected in
mid 2011. The City of Bakersfield has accepted proposals for PS&E. Construction is expected to begin in 2013.
